i’m skyla

I’m grateful you are here. My own healing journey has brought me to a place of wanting to help others navigate their own paths towards growth and healing. I have lived all over the Unites States before choosing the Pacific Northwest as home for myself and my kids.

I work primarily with adults struggling with complex trauma, breaking generational cycles, and relational issues, such as divorce and domestic violence. You may feel overwhelmed by depression, anxiety, and shame with little understanding of how you got here. I want to help you connect with your story and compassionately understand how you came to be you, gently shedding the layers you have developed that mask who you are. My goal is for you to have the agency to be yourself with the tools for self understanding helping you foster meaningful relationships with others.

I enjoy connecting with a wide range of people and  am especially enlivened by working with femme-identifying folks trying to find liberation from societal norms, harmful relationships, and oppressive systems that have caused them to feel they have lost who they are along the way.

I hold a relational psychodynamic approach, meaning the relationship we form in therapy will foster a co-created space, empowering you with understanding and agency. My approach is eclectic; I mold my interventions to fit your needs. I am a trauma-informed therapist who weaves together attachment theory, IFS, neuroscience, and somatic work. We will work towards integrating the mind, body, and soul to allow you to feel more present, taking in the richness of the human experience and deepening healthy relationships.

Therapy is only a portion of your work of discovering your inner wisdom. As such, I feel honored to be even a small part of this courageous step in your  journey into the depths of being you.

“THE STORIES WE LIVE IN, THE STORIES WE LIVE BY, AND THE STORIES WE TELL CAN, WE HOPE, DEEPEN OUR STORY OF BEING ALIVE.”
